Moms, It's Your Special Day!
The modern celebration of Mother's Day began in the early 20th century, inspired by the activism and efforts of Anna Jarvis. Jarvis organized a memorial for her mother in 1908, and the event was so well received that she began advocating for a national Mother's Day holiday. In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson signed a proclamation declaring the second Sunday in May as Mother's Day, and the holiday became an official national holiday in the United States. Since then, Mother's Day has become a worldwide celebration, with many countries adopting similar celebrations.
